Traci Shellenberger, Owner & On-Site Director
Traci Shellenberger earned her Bachelor’s Degree from West Virginia University in Family & Consumer Sciences with specialization in Child Development and Family Studies. After graduating, Traci began teaching Preschool in York, PA. When she and her husband moved to the Lehigh Valley, she continued to teach but then took a Director’s position for a child care center. In April 2003, Traci and Mike opened Traci’s Learning Center.
In October 2016, they opened their second site which is housed inside the St. John's UCC church on the corner of 6th & Walnut Streets in Downtown Allentown. Since then, Traci has been directing at the S. 6th Street Location.
Miss Bernadette, Director at Emaus Avenue location
Miss Bernadette has her Associate's Degree in Education as well as her Preschool Child Development Associate's Credential and her Director's Credential. Miss Bernadette started at Traci's Learning Center in our Preschool classroom ten years ago and has moved up to the Assistant Director position and then the Director position. Miss Bernadette is a wonderful asset to the TLC team.
Ms. Katie, Infants
Ms. Katie has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has previously worked with Preschool children, Head Start children and elementary children but LOVES working with the infants!
Miss Amy, Young Toddlers
Miss Amy comes to us with more than 2 years of experience with young children.
Miss Tyquasha, Preschool
Miss Kadeidra (KD), Prekindergarten
Miss KD has a strong background in working with children with special needs having taught for five years at Easter Seals. She is currently working on her Preschool Child Development Associate Credential. Miss KD brings a fun energy to the classroom and plans her activities based on the interests of the children.
Miss Amber, School Age
Amber graduated in December of 2006 with her Bachelor's in the Science of Education. She has dual certification in Elementary and Special Education. She has been working at Traci’s Learning Center since May of 2006. Since September 2007 she has been the Lead School Age teacher. She truly enjoys working with all the children! During the school year she also works for the CLIU # 21 as an instructional assistant with high school learning support classes at LCTI. She has worked for the CLIU # 21 since December 2008.
